10/22/211 Our Personal Review !
Twisted Woods at Hunsader Rockin Ranch is open to the public this year through Halloween offering a truly excellent Haunted Trail Attraction. Last night we were the guests of proprietor, Shawn Troxel, who sent us on a V.I.P. trip through one of the best constructed hauntes we have experienced, The trail offers 1/3 of a mile of dark twists and turns occupied by zombies, demented clowns mutated soldiers, chainsaw wielding mad men, and many other terrifying creatures all waiting to “greet” you in their own sinister ways. The appearance of the Haunt and the cast was proof alone that one visit is worth the admission price and much more. Cast members use of art of deception and confusion to their advantage , causing everyone to not only hear the constant screams of those who dare to enter, but their own screams as well. Bottom line, it’s dark ( VERY DARK) and full of heart stopping frights and very well constructed scenarios you must find your way though. A huge thanks goes out to the cast and crew for an authentic scare, it doesn’t come so easily with most commercial haunts nowadays. Twisted Woods has done something new for a change, they have made a haunted attracted that is NOT predictable. And according to Shawn Troxel he already has a ton of new ideas in the works for next year. We at HauntedFlorida.com thank him for the chance to review his site and wish him the best of success in his future years, we know things will only get better. April & Dave HauntedFlorida.com |

The Manor was not far away from
the local train depot separated by the Lost Souls Cemetery. It was told
that Sherman, the brother of Doctor Sherwood worked for the railroad most
of his life. As a brakeman for the railroad, he would often walk the rails
around the Manor with only a lantern to guide the train safely to the
station. Many nameless souls would ride the rail cars as means of travel often sick or barely alive. When Sherman found them he would carry them to his brother for help. Grateful for the care that they had been given many stayed on at Sherwood Manor as caretakers to pay their debt. The ones that died Sherman would dig a shallow grave and bury them in the Lost Souls Cemetery. Sherman would always mark the grave with a rock or several stones or scrap lumber he would find in the rail yard. The caretakers helped him build a tunnel connecting the house and the Train Depot. This secret passage made it easier for Sherman to avoid rumors that something sinister was happening at Sherwood Manor. One October night during a blinding rain storm the bridge washed out... Sherman went to warn the train to stop waving his lantern back and forth frantically. The engineer couldn't see the light in the rain. The train crashed carrying Sherman with his lantern under the river as it dove to a watery death. Ever since that night, Sherman has been seen swinging his lantern searching for the lost souls of the train. | |

Face the Fear
presents Doorways to Nightmares! When the Schohoffer Sleep Institute was created to study the nature of human dreaming, no one could have imagined the vulnerability of the human mind in its unconscious state. Once it was discovered that it is possible for people to communicate with each other through their dreams, it was only a matter of time before someone would use this information to manipulate minds. When this happened, the quite halls of the sleep institute became Doorways to Nightmares. This Halloween we invite you to join the Dream Counselors of the prestigious Schohoffer Sleep Institute as they study the effects of the neo-sleep theory called Close Proximity Group Dream Dynamics. Here, you and your friends can enter a collective dream state which allows you to look into one another’s nocturnal voyages. Beware, not all dreams are pleasant. It only takes one deranged dream to pull your entire group into a series of nightmares from which escape is virtually impossible. Although your body may be sound asleep, your mind may be running for its life! Be prepared to confront many of the darkest fears and most terrifying situations that you have ever, quite literally, dreamt up. |
